Leaders and members of the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Monday pledged to deliver 70,000 votes for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The declaration was made after a strategic meeting convened under the leadership of the Minister of Interior, Dr. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, whose consistent support for the Tinubu administration was widely acknowledged by attendees.
Participants noted the measurable progress recorded under President Tinubu and commended Dr. Tunji-Ojo’s impactful leadership at the Ministry of Interior, describing his contributions as aligned with the administration’s vision for national growth, security, and institutional reform.
Speaking at the event, the AMG Coordinator in Owo, Hon. Felix Ikeolu, emphasized the need for coordinated grassroots mobilisation to secure an overwhelming mandate for Asiwaju Tinubu in 2027.
He stated that since the inception of the present administration, Nigeria has witnessed foundational reforms in economic restructuring, national security enhancement, public service modernization, and infrastructural expansion.
He highlighted key areas where the President’s policies have begun yielding long-term dividends, including the revitalization of critical national institutions, the strengthening of security architecture, and the introduction of business-friendly reforms to encourage investment.
He affirmed that sustaining this reform trajectory requires continuity, stability, and unwavering political support from all stakeholders.

In reviewing national and local political contributions, the meeting extensively commended Dr. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, whose leadership and visionary approach in the Ministry of Interior have earned national acclaim.
He said, “His reforms, particularly in passport processing, correctional services modernization, fire service repositioning, and citizen engagement, were described as unprecedented in Nigeria’s recent history.”
Also speaking, Hon. Fatai Lawal reaffirmed that Owo Kingdom is proud of Dr. Tunji-Ojo’s achievements, citing him as a shining example of transparent, inclusive, and transformative leadership that reflects positively on the Tinubu administration.
Lawal reiterated that the Governor of Ondo State and the Minister of Interior are united in purpose and aligned with a shared political vision.
He emphasized that rumours of discord or division are unfounded, affirming that both leaders are working collaboratively to ensure President Tinubu’s resounding victory.
Stakeholders agreed that this unity strengthens the political machinery of Owo and positions the Local Government Area as a decisive force in the upcoming election.
Another party leader in the area, Hon. Jimoh Akeem (Humility), highlighted the inclusive governance style of Dr. Tunji-Ojo, describing him as “one of the most outstanding assets of the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
He stressed that the achievements recorded in the Ministry of Interior serve as a strong mobilisation narrative for Owo Kingdom.
According to him, attention will be focused on structural mobilisation to secure the targeted 70,000 votes by strengthening ward-level committees, enhancing voter education, engaging youths and women, and intensifying door-to-door mobilisation.
The meeting was attended by notable leaders including Yunisa Adeola, Hon. Jimoh Akeem (Humility), Hon. Fatai Lawal, Hon. Aminu Jetemiodara, Hon. Felix Ikeolu, Hon. Frederick Shina, and other prominent political figures in the Local Government Area.
