TheCoalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has thrown its weight behind the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Enyinnaya Chinedum Orji, for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The disclosure was made in a press statement signed by its President-General, Goodluck Ibem, and Publicity Secretary, Okey Nwaogu, and released to journalists in Owerri.

The apex South East youth body said the race should be decided on track record, and not promises.

“The 2027 election is not just another political contest. It is a defining moment to choose between proven performance and empty rhetoric, between visible achievements and unfulfilled promises,” the group stated.

COSEYL stated that when Orji served as the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, he distinguished himself through purposeful leadership and initiatives that positively impacted the lives of many citizens.

According to the group, his record speaks louder than political propaganda and remains a benchmark against which others are judged.

The group called on traditional rulers, youth and women groups, market associations, professionals, religious leaders, students, and all eligible voters in Ikwuano/Umuahia to unite behind Orji for electoral victory in 2027.
