Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on President Bola Tinubu to resign, alleging that he lacks the capacity to address Nigeria’s worsening insecurity, hunger and poverty.

Obi made the remarks during an interview with Channels Television on Sunday, where he criticised the direction of the country under the current administration.

He said the 2027 election should focus on issues affecting ordinary Nigerians, including poverty, hunger, insecurity, healthcare, out-of-school children and the alleged mismanagement of public funds.
